This city is beautiful. As James has said, it seems to get better every time we come here. Come to think of it, I’ve never really had a bad experience.
Last night ruled. Played a killer outdoor shows with a Pixes cover band, an Alkaline Trio cover band and a dude doing acoustic covers of the 2004 Rock Against Bush CD. You’d think a weirdo noise rock band wouldn’t fit in with all that, nut people seemed to be all about it!
Followed the music with a Pizza Shuttle party then crashed with our dudes at Scheme City. Russ and Josh went to a bar while the rest of us got our beauty sleep.
Day off today. Driving to Minneapolis. Gotta get some vinyl sleeves, Iron Skillet and Jon’s Bass Head. Adventure awaits.
It’s a beautiful morning in Chicagoland. The boyz are mostly still sleeping. Pretty soon I’m gonna wake everyone up so we can get started. So much to do!
There is talk of visiting Bill at his coffee shop. Then we’re heading north to Milwaukee. I’ve heard tell of some mega thrift stores \ record stores that we need to explore. After that it’s Pizza Shuttle and then our first show of tour.
Mae totally destroyed us at Civilization last night. A rematch will be in order very soon.
Also, if yr into it, We have a Twitter account now that’s gonna be updated quite frequently throughout this trip.
Normally starting out tour with a day off is a major bummer. Not so today!
Scored some dope records at this hole in the wall spot on the Southside. Shout out to Dugout Records!
Chillin’ with Bill Tucker right now. Homeboy made us some killer bean dip.
Currently spinning some Weird Al and enjoying life to the fullest.
